Yes. Symbolify uses 'Client-Side' generation. This means your network name (SSID) and password are processed entirely within your own browser. We do not transmit, store, or log your WiFi credentials on our servers. Your security is our priority.

Does this work for both iPhone and Android?

Absolutely. All modern iOS (Camera app) and Android (Google Lens/Camera) devices support scan-to-join WiFi QR codes natively. Your guests won't need to download any third-party apps to connect.

What happens if I change my WiFi password?

Because this is a 'Static' QR code, the password is hard-coded into the pattern. If you change your router's password, you will need to generate and print a new QR code to match the new credentials.

Can I create a QR code for a hidden network?

Yes. Simply toggle the 'Hidden Network' option in our generator. This adds a specific flag (H:true) to the QR code string that tells smartphones to look for your network even if it isn't broadcasting its SSID.

Which encryption type should I choose?

Most modern routers use WPA/WPA2 (or WPA3). If you are unsure, WPA/WPA2 is the safest bet as it is the global standard. If your network has no password, select 'None'.
